LabScan XE

The LabScan® XE spectrophotometer has 0°/45° optical geometry that measures color the way that you see color, ignoring the glare, and including the effect of gloss or texture. Its large measurement port of 50 mm reduces the need to average and the variable illumination option has an automated zoom lens to measure samples as small as 5 mm. To maintain maximum measurement stability, LabScan XE automatically checks and adjusts to an internal reference standard. To accurately measure optically brightened materials, ultraviolet calibration and control of the illumination source is available. Use LabScan XE to measure samples in virtually any form including solids, powders and liquids. The system can be used in sample port-up, port-forward, and, with the optional sample stand, port-down orientation.
The LabScan XE system includes EasyMatch QC software and an electronic recordkeeping version that is 21 CFR 11 compliant is available. EasyMatch Coatings color formulation software for paint is also available.

ColorQuest XT

The ColorQuest® XT is a self-contained transmittance measurement spectrophotometer designed to measure the transmitted color of transparent liquids. Products such as resins, solvents, acids, perfumes and varnishes can be measured using the APHA/PtCo/Hazen and Gardner color scales. Measure gasoline, white spirits, kerosene, heating oils, lubricating oils and petroleum waxes using the Saybolt or ASTM D1500 color scales. Beer is measured using the ASBC or EBC scale. The ADMI scale would be used for accurate measurement of dyestuff in wastewater.
The ColorQuest XT has a large sample compartment that is open on three sides for easy access and includes a transmission-cell holder that precisely positions transmission cells. The system has a large, adjustable, back-lit display that can be read in any lighting environment. This display uses touch screen technology for simplicity of operation. Prompts appearing on the display are simply touched with a finger to initiate the action.
ColorQuest XT eliminates the subjectivity of visual comparison methods, allows for greater sensitivity and maximizes repeatability.

SpectraProbe S/8

The SpectraProbe® S/8 provides non-contact, on-line color measurement of metallic coatings and highly specular product. It offers unparalleled accuracy and performance for real-time, continuous color measurement and is ideal for the on-line measurement of coated glass. Use it to continuously measure the reflected color uniformity of metallic surfaces during production for process control, quality control and to keep process records for ISO documentation. The SpectraProbe S/8 is designed for high throughput and for use in harsh production environments. Measurements agree closely with laboratory diffuse/8° geometry instruments.
The system consists of a spectrophotometer sensor, a wall-mounted support unit and host software. The sensor is supplied with a specially designed mounting system for fixed point or traversing color measurement. The computer-controlled traversing rail allows the sensor to be easily positioned over the line at any desired location or be used to continuously traverse the sensor over the line. D25LT

The D25LT Colorimeter has a large viewing area that is optimized for measuring the color of coarse, non-homogeneous and irregularly shaped products. It can be used in the food industry to measure samples such as cookies, crackers, chips, beans, spices, pasta and soups or in other industries to measure products such as ceiling tile, carpet, chemicals and minerals. The D25LT is a self-contained instrument which saves precious bench space. The one-piece instrument includes a large, color LCD touch screen for clear viewing of color measurement data as well as entry of parameter selections. An alphanumeric keypad displayed on the touch screen simplifies sample identification and data entry. The system is network and PC compatible and its built-in printer provides a hard copy of results.
The D25LT Colorimeter can be ordered with the sample measurement port of the optical sensor facing up, to measure samples such as pasta, beans and soup through the clear bottom of the sample cup. Or it can be ordered with the port facing down to measure samples such as chips through the open top of a cup.

UltraScan VIS

UltraScan® VIS is a visible-range high-performance color measurement spectrophotometer that measures the full range of human color perception. It can be used in production and in the laboratory for inspecting raw materials, evaluating finished product or developing methods for color analysis. A host of measurement features and specialized sample-handling devices make UltraScan VIS a highly versatile color measurement spectrophotometer. Because of its exceptional inter-instrument agreement and long-term stability, you can be confident that differences between measurements are due to product color changes, not instrument variability. Materials on the borderline of accepted tolerances will not be unnecessarily rejected.
The UltraScan VIS easily measures both reflected and transmitted color as well as transmission haze and meets CIE, ASTM and USP guidelines for accurate color measurement. UltraScan VIS uses diffuse/8° geometry with automated specular component inclusion/exclusion. For transmission measurement, the sphere geometry virtually eliminates errors introduced by sample turbidity and haze.
The optical system has an effective bandwidth of 10 nm and spectral data is reported every 10 nm. Tristimulus color calculations are performed from 360 nm to 780 nm as recommended by the CIE. UltraScan VIS includes EasyMatch QC software.

MiniScan EZ

MiniScan® EZ is a portable, reflected-color measurement spectrophotometer. You can take this lightweight, compact instrument wherever it's needed on the plant floor, the production line, the warehouse or outdoors. There is no need to take samples to the lab. MiniScan EZ gives you instant, accurate data anywhere and the measurements can be stored in memory for later printout or download to a PC. It is ergonomically designed featuring a rubberized handle that provides sure-handed carrying and virtually eliminates user fatigue when measuring a large number of samples. A button pad is built into the handle to provide simple thumb-tip navigation of all functions. MiniScan EZ has a large easy-to-read, LCD graphical display.
To best fit your measurement requirements, large-area view and small-area view models are available with 45°/0° or diffuse/8° measurement geometry. The large-area view models provide an excellent optical average over the surface of the sample and reduce the number of readings necessary to average for non-uniform samples.
